Youth

Welcome to the Youth page. Scroll through to see activities. Our goal is to provide a place for Youth where judgement is left outside the door. We are all Children of God. We strive to have fun, learn the Bible, serve, and become the future leaders of the church.

Mission Trip Summer 2018

brooke dynes

JUMY is pleased to offer multiple mission trip opportunities this summer. Throughout the year, we have three major fundraising opportunities to support these trips. Youth are encouraged to participate in a few of the 14 fundraising events throughout the year, such as monthly movie nights, jewelry making, or salad bar.

For our current juniors & seniors, we are offering a trip to Guatemala in June. This is a unique opportunity! For current youth members, we are are doing various activities to raise funds. Each person* will be expected to provide approx $500 of the $1350 cost.

Current 8th - 12th graders will have our annual trip to a nearby state to do mission work. Dates are not reserved, but probably early July. Cost* per person is approx $100-150.

Current 7th & 8th graders: We will be attending the Weekend at the Cross in either Shreveport, Ruston or Northshore. It will be in the end of July. The cost* per person is $50.

*these costs are for our regular Youth. If you would like to attend, please contact Brooke.

We will start the night with dinner and Spring Fling planning. Then head out for some 4 square on our new court! After, we'll discuss how to act when we win or lose. Then we will reflect on Christ's death...winning in the face of loss: sadness turning into joy.

Sunday 3/26: Mission Work

Sunday 3/5: Jesus: The Real Life series

brooke dynes

Today's lesson: Jesus the Teacher. Game: Charades & Telephone. Point: How can the little info we know about Jesus's Youth help your life as a student?

Overall: Are you a fan of a team? How much do you know that team? Do you know the current players? Do you know the coaches? Their strengths? How about past players? Of course you do, but how much do you know about Jesus?

We say we are Christians, but how much do we know about the one who started it all? We will look at the life of Christ.

Sunday 2/26: Movie Time
